In order to evaluate the various performance indexes of extended range electric vehicles, a parameter matching is proposed for a certain extended range electric vehicle. Based on Matlab/Simulink, on the basis of ADVISOR series hybrid electric vehicle model, modify and optimize vehicle dynamics models, motor models and battery models, and propose the control strategy, the dynamic and economic performance was researched in UDDS cycle condition. The results shown that when the motor torque is 0 ~ 200Nm, the engine torque output is 55 ~ 100Nm, the efficiency of the battery is kept above 90% under the CYC UDDS cycle condition of the electric vehicle. With the original vehicle dynamics unchanged, the emissions performance and fuel consumption rates have been improved.
