A novel scalable rectifying diode is presented in this paper, which would potentially extend a commercialized diode's reverse breakdown voltage limitlessly while maintaining the low threshold. Its priority of the extended breakdown and preserved threshold could be utilized for a voltage doubler design with an enhanced dynamic range to achieve maximum-efficiency parallel dc current combinations. Both theory analysis and measurement validate this presented scalable rectifying diode, which brings a highly practical and potential insight for the enhanced dynamic-range wireless powered capsules.
