摘要

The analysis of nonverbal interaction, especially body motion synchrony has long been a significant direction in the research of human communication. However, most of the studies in this field focused on the simple dyadic communication environment and didn't pay enough attention to the possible influence of social-cognitive factors that only appear in the communication including more than two participants. This study aims to explore the effect of those factors in multi-person communication by analyzing the body motion synchrony of the participants in tripartite face-to-face communication. We create a communication environment which is similar to the normal educational environment including one speaker and two listeners. After analyzing the body motion synchrony and listeners' self-evaluation results in different conditions, we find that there is a direct interaction within the listeners that could influence the body motion synchrony during the communication. The result shows the significant role of the social-cognitive factors in the tripartite communication environment, which lays the base of future research of multi-person communication.
