The contiguous areas of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces are the remote mountain areas and are far from the political, economic and cultural center. The overall socio-economic development level in those areas is relatively backward. Take contiguous areas as a whole, through gravity center analysis and space coupling state model, calculate the dynamic evolution track, moving direction and moving distance of economic center and population gravity center of 74 counties in the Contiguous areas of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou province from 1992 to 20M. By analyzing the dynamic changing trends of regional differences and the space coupling state of economic center and population gravity center, study the equilibrium state of regional development in the contiguous areas of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou province. Results show that the population gather together a corresponding process of the economy did not produced. Those reflect the dynamic changes of the gap of the economic development between the eastern and western parts of China and imbalance development between the northern and Southern parts of China. Although the economic development tended to be balanced, the overall differences among regions are enlarging in recent years.
