摘要

A review of staged collisions and post-collision forensic reconstruction of pedestrian, cyclist and motorcyclist run-over collisions with vehicles is presented. Staged collisions were conducted using porcine surrogates in order to assess the impact and post-impact kinematics associated with a vehicle run-over collision. Also presented are case studies involving reconstructions of real world pedestrian/cyclist/motorcyclist run-over collisions. Multi-media research and analysis is also presented. The information presented in this paper will enable investigators to better assess post-collision evidence in order to estimate pre-crash parameters.
