Sulfur containing heterocycles are privileged class of compounds in various research fields, including pharmaceutical and material sciences. In spite of these utility, the methods for C-S bond formations, which are key steps to construct these compounds, are limited to those conducted under harsh reaction conditions with narrow substrate scope. These methods also have difficulties in handling of sulfur surrogates with the unpleasant odors such as thiols.
