Choosing who or what to trust is one of the most important decisions we make in life. Making the wrong decision can lead to financial loss and even worse irreparable harm; harm to your financial stability and your professional (and sometimes personal)brand. Given the impact of making the 'wrong decisions' it's astonishing how quickly most decisions are made. As a matter of fact, a recent study' published in the Journal of Neuroscience showed the human brain, responding through visual rapid responsesto facial characteristics, takes a mere three hundredths of a second to decide whether to trust or not. This isn't a lot of time when you're talking about decisions that can impact your personal and/or professional success. This holds true when choosing which disinfectant to use, as part of an effective biosecurity program. Disinfectants vary greatly in performance depending on the microorganisms present, as well as the chemical and physical environment in which they are used.
