Infrared (IR) energy is a form of electromagnetic radiation which exhibits both electric and magnetic field components.When an IR radiation strikes a material it is reflected,transmitted or absorbed.Whenever the IR radiation is absorbed by the material,the absorbed waves give their energy to heat the material and as a result of this the material temperature increases.
