Many industrial processes require now controlled ambiance to ensure a good reproducibility as a good general quality of their products. That is why it is nowadays very common to find more and more sensors which control the general state of the air in lot of places. One of the first parameter to check in a controlled ambiance just after temperature is the atmospheric humidity (RH). This paper presents results obtained thanks a Matrix of SGFET (Suspended Gate Field Effect Transistor) in humidity sensing (1). Results have been also compared to a traditional inter-digit comb capacitive device. Most humidity sensors are based on the variation of electrical properties with humidity. Their main applications are measurements of water vapour in meteorology or agriculture applications but also industrial process control.
