CALMA is a collaboration among the INFN sections of Bologna, Pisa, Torino, Udine and Trento and the Hospitals of Bari, Bologna, Livorno, Udine and Trento. We aim to obtain a CAD (Computer Assisted Diagnosis) system in screening mammography based on neural networks. After a description of the project, some preliminary results are shown for the classification of a peculiar kind of mammal disease (microcalcification clusters).
