摘要

In the current economic climate organisations need to focus on the effective management of their human resources so as to ensure organisational sustainability. This study's research aim is to explore possible differences between work-based identity (WBI) and work engagement (WE) in the prediction of work performance outcomes.A census sampling approach on a population of 23 134 yielded a sample of 2 429 (a response rate of about 10.5%).WBI and WK were comparatively used as predictors of subjective and objective outcomes. It was found that WBI explains slightly more variance than WE in the different criterion variables.
