In this paper, through the combination of silica sol with Self-flow castables and high alumina cement bonded Self-flow castables performance comparison, Objective to obtain the material properties of silica sol combined self-flow castables same high alumina cement bonded material properties, so that new products can be used widely in the market.The study found, liquid in the same amount, the flow of the two values are basically the same, SS flow value is slightly better than that of the HAC;and for the hardening time SS need time longer, HAC hardening time of 4-5 hours, but SS hardening time 8-9 hours, is 1 time larger than that of HAC.SS in the heating process of weight loss rate and weight loss was significantly less than HAC,further proof of the SS construction drying speed faster and short time.SS permeability was significantly higher than that of high alumina cement bonded materials, good air permeability caused by material surface moisture phenomenon,this phenomenon is moisture evaporation enrichment in the interface template, after stripping surface contact with air can disappear quickly.The analysis of silica sol bonded self-flow castables fast drying, good baking performance, and excellent physical and chemical properties, can be applied in practice.At the same time, studies of silica sol combined with Self-flow castables in blast furnace hearth maintenance has been applied, the blast furnace hearth damage are repaired by casting process, the process features: sealing the hearth as a whole, no brick joints, short maintenance cycle, and high safety coefficient of hearth.To provide protection for high efficiency, energy saving and long life of blast furnace.
