Sichuan with vast land and large population is one of the provinces seriously hit by earthquake disaster and its secondary disaster. To decrease the loss of lives and property and enhance the capabilities of earthquake emergency response and rescue, Sichuan Post-Earthquake Emergency Technology System has been established during the implementation of the tenth five-year plan. The system is composed of a suite of Post-Earthquake Field Emergency Command System, a reserve storehouse for earthquake emergency and five suites of Earthquake Emergency Technology System for Key City, and equipped with emergency communication command vehicles.
