摘要

Wastewater containing small concentrations of TNT has been successfully treated with ozone while being irradiated simultaneously with ultraviolet light. The light increases the reaction rate utilization. With this system, TNT was completely oxidized to carbon dioxide. Ozone-UV treatment of industrial wastes has potential for removal of organic compounds which are resistant to normal oxidation techniques.
