A gimballed inertial navigation systems (INS) are used now for a problem solving by the high-precision positioning and attitude computation for the vehicles of the broad spectrum of application. One of the drawbacks of a gimballed INS in comparison with strapdown systems is them be relative more complicated and long-term procedure of an initial alignment. In this paper, the radical solution of a problem of time reduction of an initial alignment of any kinds of gimballed INS is shown (about several seconds) by application of a new method on which the patent of the Russian Federation for the invention is received. The scheme of a method simulation of an initial alignment is considered in view of inertial sensor errors, and also the estimation of a real accuracy of an initial alignment by results of a posteriori processing the measuring information from an INS engaged in analytical operational mode, is offer.
