SCF Particle Design: A High-Tech Platform of DDS Innovation for Strategic Change in The Pharmaceutical Industry

摘要

The aim of this work is to prepare stable, small and smart particles with effective formulation for drug delivery system. Hence an attempt is made to develop a high-tech platform of supercritical fluid particle design (SCF PD). Methods employed for SCF PD are based anti-solvent processing, a new type of SCF PD rig was designed and set up, various preparations of chemical or biological drug particles were made with different functional miceo-structures such as nano or micro sized particles, fine powder of specific polymorph, inhaled dry powder and smart composite particles incorporating stabilising agents, characterizations of them were analyzed by SEM, AFM, XRPD, PSA, TGA, DSC, FUR and HPLC. The analytic data shown that all preparations made by SCF PD enhance the dissolution and bioavailability optimize release profiles, as well as improving stability.
