摘要

Snow changes their structure according to the environment, such as sunshine and daily temperature change. Structure of snow will change from powderly state to granular state and will from ice bonding. There are no definite snow quality up to now. It is important to understand the mechanical properties of snow for the design of snow removing machine. There are many studies has been done for the crystallinic structure of snow. However, what we wish to know are their macroscopic structure of snow quality from the mechanical design purpose. The paper presented one of the quantitative measure of snow state from the permeability of snow column.
