This paper presents a design of high-speed parallel signal processing board based on four ADSP21160 processors for High Frequency Ground Wave Radar (HFGWR) system. The board has 2400MFLOPS of peak processing performance onboard. Using link ports and VMEbus interface to communicate between boards, the board-to-board communications bandwidth is up to 1200MBytes/s. It has many promising characteristics such as topology flexibility, good scalable capability, high reliability and maintainability. It can be applied to construct an integrated high performance parallel signal processing system. The paper describes high-speed circuit design techniques used to design the Printed Circuit Board (PCB), simulates and analyses signal integrity (SI), ensuring high quality at design.
