The SOLSPEC investigation has already been flown in obit for measuring the abu0013olute solar spectral irradiance. The scientific objectives for the ISSA mission are presented and their importance is discussed. The performance of the instrument will be shown using the recent SOLSPEC results, For the ISSA mission, changes have beeen already undertaken in order to meet the ISSA requirements (interfaces and reliability) and several istrumental improvements for a better science return.
