摘要

This paper describes a new concept in education for the space program at the univerity level. Under the direction of jthe university fo central florida, college of engineering a progrma has been developed by the florida space institute to integrate university classroom teaching wiht the opportunity to experience the "real world' of the space program at the NASA nad U.S.Air Force facilities at Cape Canaveral by providing a "Practice Based Eduction" initiative. Upper level university ocurses hve been initiated to combine classroom teaching iwth laboratory periods featuring opportunities for sutdents to interact with the actual engineers, equipemnt, facilities, nd the environment oflaunch site operations. The program integrtes professors nad students fro mseveral universities with the experience of engineers fro mboth government and corporate organizations to bring about an innovative approach to producitng a space industry workforce with a headstart in the engineering workplace environment.
