摘要

The B2 type intermetallic compound NiAl offers a number of potential benefits as a high-temperature structural material. If these benefits are to be realized in practice, then suitable fabrication technologies for NiAl are required. Likely applications of NiAl would involve localized components within structures comprised predominantly of nickel-base superalloys. In such applications, joining of NiAl to nickel-base alloys would be required.
