Since ancient times,Eshan has been the settlement of the Yi nationality with inheriting numerous Yi place names, which show the changes of historical culture of Yi nationality in Eshan.With the Han nationality′s move to Eshan and the influ-ence of Han culture and language,Yi place names are borrowed into Han language or replaced by Han place names.In view of these changes,we can see the contact and blending of national languages and cultures.%峨山自古就是彝族聚居的地方，传承了众多的彝语地名，体现了峨山彝族社会历史文化的变迁。随着汉族的迁入，汉语和汉文化的影响，彝语地名或被借入到汉语，或被汉语地名替换，从彝、汉地名的转换，可以看到民族语言、文化的接触与交融。
