As a symbol of human culture,sport dance,which is originated from human life,labor and emotion,is developing very fast all over the country for nearly twenty or thirty years,and appears frequently in people's life. However,sport dance is not as popular as other leisure sports such as table tennis and badminton.Sport dance is still exotic in rural area for the following reasons:high expertise,little -known and lack of cognition in rural areas,and governmental guide deficiency.Efforts such as increasing sport dance elements,enlarging sport dance propaganda and increasing governmental support could be carried out to popularize sport dance effectively.%体育舞蹈产生于人类的生活、劳动、情感，是一种人体文化的象征，近二三十年在全国范围内迅速发展，频繁出现在人们的生活中。但同为休闲体育运动，体育舞蹈并未像乒乓球、羽毛球等一样得到不仅是在城市而且也包含农村大众群体的广泛的普及。体育舞蹈本身固有专业性高的特点，加之受制于农村群体受众面狭小、认知度不高以及政府政策导向缺失等缺陷，体育舞蹈对于农村仍是一“舶来品”鲜为人知。为使体育舞蹈有效普及可在增添体育舞蹈元素、扩大体育舞蹈宣传、增加政策扶持等方面做出积极努力。
