The intramolecular O→Sn coordination bond in (Z) - 1 - [2- (dihalophenylstannyl) vinyl] -cyclooctanol, a proposed indication for the antitumour activity of organotin compounds, was dissociated and re - coordinated by N - containing bidentate ligands, and formed new organotin complexes. These new complexes were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, elemental analysis and molar conductance determination.
