“Remember our nostalgia” is the most popular topic in the recent China central urbanization strategy. As the historic water towns south of the Yangtze River have been more and more frequently host Chinese nostalgia for hometown, their uniqueness in Chinese urban culture have become concerns again. The nostalgia to these river towns, in the colective memory in residents and cultural elites, implies move positive urban attitudes, and could ofer another choice for Chinese urban future.%“记住乡愁”是中央城镇化战略中被讨论最多的一个新提法。近年来江南水乡古镇成为越来越多人们的思乡对象，不仅是受全球怀旧文化的影响，还有其深厚的历史根源。从本质上说，江南文化是中国传统城镇文化的典型代表。以江南水乡市镇为指向的乡愁绵延于游子、文人、士绅乃至现代中国的集体记忆中，作为城镇中国的文化原乡为新一轮城镇化战略寻找最适合中国传统与未来的发展道路提供了价值基础和路径借鉴。
