Based on the current situation,i.e. Increasing popularity of ground channels constructed with shield method and deepening of re-search on sealing technology and grease of shield tail, the article de-scribes mechanism and features of sealing with shield tail grease, focus-ing on performance index and effectiveness of 3 types of greases typically used in China, Japan and France. It also has a discussion in brief on key issues of the grease, including its composition, inspection items, perfor-mance index and test methods and points out that standardization for all relevant materials is as a matter of course.%针对盾构法建造地下隧道日益普及、盾尾密封技术与盾尾油脂研究不断深化的背景,介绍了盾尾油脂的密封原理与密封特点,重点介绍了中、日、法等国3种典型盾尾密封油脂的性能指标与密封功效,扼要探讨了该类材料的组成、检测项目、指标与方法等技术关键,并提出了相关材料标准化已势在必行的观点.
