Objective To study the pathological and immunohistochemical features of epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) in meningiothelial mengingioma and surrounding membranous tissue.Methods 10 cases of meningiothelial mengingioma and surrounding membranous tissue were retrospectively studied by its clinical manifestation,pathologic classification and biological grading.immunohistochemical staining by EMA antibody was also carried out. Results Meningeal skin cell meningioma tissue EMA (100%)and the positive rate of tumor basement dura mater and dura surrounding 2.0cm areas (0.0%) have obvious difference. Conclusion Epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) is the key marker for the diagnosis of meningiothelial meningioma. Immunohistochemical stains and ultrastructural observation play important roles in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of meningioma.%目的：探讨EMA在脑膜皮细胞型脑膜瘤及其周围硬脑膜组织中的表达情况及意义。方法10例脑膜皮细胞型脑膜瘤手术肿瘤标本，术中留取肿瘤基底硬脑膜和肿瘤周边2.0 cm以外正常硬脑膜标本，采用免疫组化方法检测三种组织标本的EMA表达情况。结果10例脑膜皮细胞型脑膜瘤组织均有EMA高水平表达，阳性率100%，肿瘤基底硬脑膜和周边2.0 cm以外区域硬脑膜均不表,达阳性率均为0.0%，比较有明显差异。结论 EMA可以作为脑膜皮细胞型脑膜瘤的组织学诊断依据，EMA在肿瘤基底硬脑膜和周边硬脑膜中无表达说明肿瘤未侵及硬脑膜组织，在切除肿瘤过程中不必过多切除硬脑膜。
