Objective:To know the increasing character and standard of lab area of Hebei Province institution for disease prevention and control between 2002 and 2012.Methods: Using questionnaire survey of the basic instance of three layers of center of disease prevention and control and specialty disease prevention and control institution, then compute the status of lab by three indexes: lab area, per person lab area and the rate of lab area.Results: Lab area and per person lab area of Hebei Province institution for disease prevention and control increases 169.09% and 152.66%. The rate of lab area of each layer of institution of disease prevention and control increased. Provincial and city level is higher than the standard 12.27% and 0.23%, county level is lower than the standard 4.28%.Conclusion: Government investment is insufficiency of disease prevention and control institutions, the rate of the county lab area is low and it still can not meet the need.%目的：了解2002年、2007年及2012年3个时间点的河北省疾病预防控制机构实验室用房状况，明确其增长及达标情况。方法：采用问卷调查法，调查河北省省、市、县各级疾病预防控制中心和专业防治机构实验室建设的基本情况，用实验室用房面积、人均实验室用房面积和实验室用房比例3个指标反映实验室建设状况。结果：2012年全省疾病预防控制机构实验室用房面积177074.41 m2，人均实验室用房面积19.48 m2，与2002年相比分别增长169.09%和152.66%。2012年省、市、县三级实验室用房面积所占比例分别为62.27%、40.23%和30.72%，与2002年相比各级实验室用房面积都有所增长。省级和市级实验室用房比例分别高于标准12.27%和0.23%，县级实验室用房比例低于标准4.28%。结论：财政对疾病预防控制机构近期投入不足，县级实验室用房比例较低，仍然不能满足需求。
