Focus on the common problems of the current teaching scheme of professional elective, with a case study on the civil engineering course of Water Supply and Drainage Facility, the analysis of how to improve the studying interest of the students and further improve the teaching quality under small-class teaching mode has been conducted through four aspects, including the construction of teaching team of professional elective, innovation of teaching material system, reform of the teaching measures in class, as well as adjustment and strengthening of the test modes under whole process control.%针对目前专业选修课教学中普遍存在的问题，以土木工程专业的给水排水设备专业选修课为例，从专业选修课教学团队建设、创新教材体制、改革课堂教学方法以及调整加强全过程管控的考核方式四方面分析了如何在小班教学模式下，提高学生学习兴趣，进而提高教学质量。
