General practice ( GP) faculty play a fundamental role in the quality improvement of standardized training of GP in China.Based on relevant literatures of GP faculty, the article introduced the standards of GP faculty development in developed countries and illustrated current problems in GP faculty in China.We suggest that a system of GP faculty training should be established with three levels including the recruit of GP teachers, training and assessment, in order to find a way to develop GP faculty in China and improve the training quality of GP.%全科医学师资是提高全科医学规范化培训质量的重要保证，基于全科医学师资相关文献，本文介绍了国外发达国家全科医学师资建设标准，阐述目前国内全科医学师资发展问题，提出通过全科医学师资纳入、培训、考核3个层面的准则要求，建立全科医学师资培训框架，以探索我国全科医学师资建设途径，提高全科医学培训质量。
