Shigella is one of the common pathogenic bacteria responsible for gastrointestinal infection. The vulnerable population are infants, elders and the immunocompromised. Shigella sonnei is most prevalent in developed countries and is becoming more prevalent in developing countries that have been dominated by Shigella flexneri. In this review, the distribution of Shigella sonnei, the situation of drug resistance, the mechanism of drug resistance and detection of Shigella sonnei were reviewed.%志贺菌是引起胃肠道感染主要病原菌之一.老人、儿童和免疫受损的患者中多发.发达国家流行的主要是宋内志贺菌,而发展中国家虽然长期以来流行的为福氏志贺菌,但近年来宋内志贺菌呈明显增加的趋势,并成为优势菌群.本文就近些年全球宋内志贺菌的分布流行、耐药情况、耐药机制以及检测方法的进行综述.
