The source and the distribution,the difference,industrial application and production method of β-galactosidase were introduced. Using lactobacillus as example,the paper also expounds the type ofβ-galactosi-dase in different lactobacillus,gene cloning and related expression system from lactobacillus,and the method ofβ-galactosidase production by lactobacillus as well as the prospects for development.%介绍了β-半乳糖苷酶的来源分布、基因组成差异、工业中的用途以及生产制备方法；并以乳酸菌为例，阐述了不同来源乳酸菌中乳糖酶的种类，乳酸菌中乳糖酶基因的克隆，相关的表达体系，以及利用乳酸菌生产β-半乳糖苷酶的方法以及发展前景。
