Lycopene is a natural distribution of a wide range of fat-soluble carotenoid, in recent years, because of its advantageous physiological function aroused people′s concern.Epidemiological , tissue culture and animal studies provide convincing evidence supporting the anti-oxidant capacity of lycopene and its role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases ,cancers and neurodegenerative diseases. Therefore , lycopene is widely used in medicines, health foods, food additives and cosmetics.
