护理本科生医学英语教学改革实践

         

摘要

Objective To enhance senior nursing undergraduates' practical competence of their professional English. Methods Textbooks were complied by ourselves, and English teachers were required to learn nursing knowledge. So as to introduce role -play into classroom activities, and invite professional nursing teachers, foreign teachers and foreign students to attend classes talk together. Results 30% students could correctly employ English technical terms and expressions to communicate with "patients" , yielding sound nursing quality with high efficiency. 46% students managed to make themselves understood by foreign "patients" , and their nursing cares were accepted. 72. 3% students believed that role - play in simulated real situations can integrate nursing expertise with linguistic skills. 56. 2% students expressed confidence in directly performing nursing care for foreign patients after graduation. Conclusion This teaching reform is beneficial for the improvement of nursing undergraduates' competence in their professional English.%目的 提高高年级本科护生的专业英语应用能力.方法 采用自编教材,要求英语教师学习护理知识,在课堂教学中引入场景实战练习,邀请护理专业教师、外教和留学生共同参与课堂活动.结果 30%的学生能够准确运用专业词汇和正确的英文表达与“患者”沟通,服务质量和效率良好;46%的学生英语表达能让“患者”理解,服务基本能够被外籍“患者”接受.72.3%的学生认为在场景实战中能够综合护理知识和语言技能,56.2%的学生在学习后表示有信心直接进入涉外护理岗位工作.结论 课程改革有利于提高学生的专业英语水平和英语职业应用能力.
