Objective: To generalize the biological function of hepatitis C Virus(HCV) core protein. Method:More than 20 current foreign literatures were read and reviewed. Results: There are some T and B cell epitopes on HCV core protein, and HCV core protein can affect cell cycle. Conclusions: HCV core protein was the target region of studying vaccine, related with persistent infection and hepatocarcinoma. The reviewed results are rnbeneficial to study the HCV pathogenesis and therapy for hepatitis C.%目的：概述丙型肝炎病毒核心蛋白的主要生物学功能。方法：查阅并参考国外近年20多篇相关文献资料。结果：综述了丙型肝炎病毒核心蛋白T、B细胞表位及对细胞周期的影响。结论：核心蛋白是丙型肝炎病毒疫苗研究的靶区域，与病毒持续性感染、肝细胞肝癌的发生密切相关，对其深入研究有助于探讨丙型肝炎病毒的致病机制及其防治。
