Rural Highways and bridges are important transport infrastructure for rural areas. As the widest geographi-cal city in Guangdong Province, Qingyuan puts much effort in developing rural highway construction and increasing the total mileage of the rural highways. The rapid development of the highway and bridge brings much benefits for the rural people, such as the improvement of the travel conditions and promoting the rural economy. However, the maintenance and management of the rural highway is becoming a new problem for the potential safety hazard. This paper analyses the present situation of highway and bridge in rural areas, and provides some solutions to theses prob-lems.%农村公路桥梁是农村地区重要的交通基础设施,清远市作为广东省地域面积最大的地级市,近年来随着农村公路建设的不断推进,里程迅速增加,给广大人民群众带来实惠,改善了交通出行条件,推动了农村的经济发展.同时面临着公路桥梁养护管理问题,给人们出行安全带来担忧.文中对山区公路桥梁现状进行了分析,提出了相应的解决对策.
