张善琨是中国电影史上最具争议性的人物之一,其作为制片人的电影之路长久以来少被关注。从制片人的角度来看,张善琨由戏剧片进军电影业,受自身电影王国梦想的鼓动,在短短两年间于日益严峻的国族危机之际完成了“新华”影业生产行销模式的基本确立。这既是张善琨电影之路的起步,同时也是全面抗战前中国国产电影发展的一个见证。%ZHANG Shankun is one of the most controversial figures in the history of Chinese film, and few researcher focuses on Zhang’s movie career as a producer for a very long time.Encouraged by his own dreams of Chinese movie kingdom,ZHANG Shankun entered the film industry with a drama movie The Legend of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (Hon g Yan g Hao Xia Zhuan ,1 935),and had ini-tially established production and marketing pattern of “Xinhua”Film Company in a short span of two years when growing signs of a severe national crisis were showing.The crucial stage from the year of 1 934 to 1 937 is not only the inception of ZHANG Shankun’s cinematic adventure on film production, but also the epitome of Chinese movie before the period of Total Resistance.
