Shanghai - Hangzhou - Ningbo Railway connected the important economic towns in the southern part of the Yangtze River. Its emergence was closely related to the economic invasion of British imperialism. With the unyielding struggle of the people in Zhejiang Province, the construction, management and operation broke away from the control of British imperialism, and the railway became a national model of private railways.
