Wang Ji was a representative of the hermit scholars in the early Tang Dynasty. But the reason why Wang Ji was considered as a celebrity from Fen Yin lies in the fact that the later generation would make a single choice between intended action and intended inaction. It was a result of the combination of a person＇s innate Confucian self-cultivation and outward drunken and wildly outrageous behavior.
