The accidents that occurred in Huainan mining area during 2000 to 2012 were classified and analyzed by the number of accidents and deaths in each year , the accidents level of each year , the number of different types of accidents and the casualty per accident .The results showed that , the overall work safety situation in Huainan min-ing area was good , but the ordinary accident occurred frequently , the roof accidents occurred most frequently , and the gas accident had averagely caused the highest casualty by single accident .Some feasible measures to enhance work safety performance were put forward , such as reinforcing current safety policies and measures , strengthening accident investigation and hazards identification and elimination , building work safety culture , intensifying daily safety management , promoting emergency capabilities , and so on .%以各年份发生事故次数与死亡人数、各年份发生事故等级、不同类型事故发生次数与单起事故死亡人数为指标，对淮南矿区2000～2012年间发生的281起生产事故进行了统计分析。结果显示，淮南矿区整体生产安全形势良好，但一般事故多发，其中顶板事故发生次数最多，而瓦斯事故造成的单起事故伤亡最大。据此提出，淮南矿区总体上应从深入贯彻现行政策措施、强化事故调查分析和隐患排查治理、建设企业安全文化、加强日常管理、提升应急救援能力等方面入手，切实提高总体事故防范控制工作水平。
