Due to the lower visibility in foggy weather, driver＇s vision and judging ability are affected. Fog brings enormous economic losses and security risks to highway traffic.It is a problem for the traffic management that how to carry out the highway traffic management in fog and other low visibility conditions. According to the experiments of highway traffic management in foggy weather, this paper analyzed the characteristics of the fog on highway and the drivefspsychology. At the same time, it expounded the control key points at different fog conditions and road sections. In order to resolve the traffic management practical＂ problems in fog, some modes, such as ＂small cycles overlapped dynamic pattern, ＂the service other management strategies, were area exit stop＂ brought up for ＂two point traffic divergence＂ and the conditions of low visibility,%雾天能见度低，驾驶人的视线及判断能力受到很大影响．雾给高速公路交通带来巨大的经济损失和安全隐患，如何在雾天等低能见度条件下开展高速公路交通管理工作是交通管理部门的一个难题．本文从管理实践角度出发，剖析了高速公路雾情特点及雾天行车驾驶人的心理特征，阐述了不同雾情及不同路段单元的管控要点，提出了低能见度条件下“小循环重叠的动态勤务”模式，以及“服务区出口停车”、“两点交替分流”等管理策略，试图探索雾天交通管理难题的破解。
