陆九渊毕生以正人心为已任。他中年以敕局删定官身份直谏孝宗,批评朝政,议论君心之非,提出解救时弊的设想与期望;后创办象山精舍,又为政荆门,以正人心为先,努力实践自己的社会政治思想,终因过劳而卒于任所。陆九渊的思想与实践,至今仍具有一定的借鉴作用和教育意义。%Taking training others to be straightforward men upon himself,Lu Jiu-yuan offered frank advice to Emperor Song Xiao-zong during his middle age,critisizing the imperial court’ s policies and putting forward his assumptions that defects of that time could be eliminated.He established Xiangshan academy and held office in Jingmen to realize his social and political ideals.Lu Jiu-yuan’s ideas and practice is instructive.
