英语专业综合英语课堂教师语码转换研究

         

摘要

通过对浙江万里学院2012级英语专业学生在一、二年级时进行的2次问卷调查,对其综合英语课教师同时进行的2次访谈,结合为期一学期的综合英语课全英文教学的实验研究,结果表明:教师课内语码转换现象普遍存在,绝大部分师生对此持肯定的态度,并认为教师使用母语主要是为了促进教学;且随着二年级时学生英语水平的提高,教师的母语使用量有所减少;师生眼中的语码转换最佳比例有所不同,但师生都认为,二年级时应低于一年级时;全英文的浸入式教学在低年级段并不是理想的。%Based on 2 questionnaires for the English majors at Zhejiang Wanli University when they were freshmen and sophomores, 2 interviews for the teachers at the same time, and a one-term experiment of full English teaching, the study showed that English/Chinese code-switching prevailed in the English classroom, and most students and teachers held a positive attitude towards it, believing that it facilitated English teaching. Besides, the study revealed that with the improvement of students’ English language proficiency, teachers’ use of Chinese declined, and both students and teachers had different views towards the amount of Chinese used in the code-switching, though both agreeing that Chinese should be used less when students were sophomores. Moreover, the study, to some extent, demonstrated that full English teaching is not quite ideal for students of lower grades.
