Indonesia is one of the main areas inhabited by Chinese in the southeast of Asia,where Chinese education has long history and good foundation.However,the development of Chinese education in Indonesia twists and turns for a long time because of various factors.The government's education policy in Indonesia,China's international status and the Chinese cultural identity all affect the development of Chinese education in Indonesia.Fundamentally,the root cause of the emergence and development of Chinese education is Chinese people's identification with the culture of China,which is the important pillar of the development of Chinese education.%印度尼西亚是东南亚华人最主要的聚居区之一,其华人教育有着较早的历史和良好的发展基础。但长期以来,由于遭受各种因素的影响,华文教育在印度尼西亚的发展历经曲折和坎坷。印度尼西亚历届政府的教育政策、中国国际地位的高低以及华人的文化认同都影响着印度尼西亚华文教育的发展,但从根本上说,华人对中华文化的认同才是华文教育产生和发展的根本原因,是支撑华文教育发展的重要支柱。
