晚清灾荒中，妇女拐卖现象十分严重。灾荒中严重的妇女拐卖现象不仅加重了无数女性的悲惨遭遇，也常常演化为影响地方社会秩序和人口变迁的重要因素。晚清中央到地方政府为打击拐卖妇女犯罪作出了积极努力，具体司法实践中也讲求灵活处理，这些对安定灾区社会秩序发挥了一定积极作用。当然，晚清日益腐败的吏治也影响了严刑峻法的落实空间。%The Crime of abducting and trafficking in women was very serious in the famine period of Late Qing.This kind of crime phenomenon not only increased the tragic experience of countless women,but also often evolved into an important factor affecting the local social order and popula-tion changes.The central government and the local governments made positive efforts to combat the crime,local officials could flexibly handle of the judicial cases.All of these played a positive role to the stability of social order in disaster areas.However,the increasing of political corruption affect-ed the legal efficiency in this period.
