The publicity is an important attribute of the modern academic library. This article discusses the basic concepts of the academic library publicity, and reveals scientiifcally the connotation of modern academic library publicity mainly from the six aspects, such as subject, space, culture, function, resources. At last, to analysis the basic characteristics of the academic library publicity from modernity, participation sharing, level, critical, etc.%公共性是现代大学图书馆的重要属性之一，具有鲜明的时代性。文章主要探讨了大学图书馆公共性的基本概念，着重从主体、空间、文化、功能、资源、服务六个方面系统阐释了大学图书馆公共性内涵，从现代性、参与性、共享性、层次性、批判性等方面分析了大学图书馆公共性的基本特征。
