The ground deformation beyond a certain extent will influence the safety and normal operation of tunnel, surface highway and buildings. During the excavation of shallow buried tunnel in one intercity rail project, relevant data are monitored, which can be compared with the calculation result by finite element model. The analysis result involves the settlement value of overhead highway and the range of influence during the construction of shallow buried tunnel, which will provide references for local tunnel projects.
