The encoding, decoding, error correction principle and construction method of Hamming code are introduced. The principle of code error correction is applied in serial communication among single chip computers. The flowcharts of the sending program in sending computer and receiving program in receiving computer and the specific procedures of implementing Hamming code software encoding and decoding are described; and the method of locating and correcting single bit error is given.
