Compared with Chinese undergraduates, the students in American university, majoring in petroleum particularly, have more practical ability and innovative ability, which has close re-lation to its teaching characteristics. The curriculum system, teaching mode and checking methods are introduced in more de-tail by field visiting in petroleum specialized American university. More reference and use are provided for petroleum specialized u-niversity in China.
