为小学生的英语故事阅读点燃一盏灯

         

摘要

English story reading, as a suitable approach for pupils, is of positive significance in enriching pupils' language knowl-edge and improving their language accomplishment. Due to vari-ous reasons, primary school English teachers don't implement story reading teaching in story time of the textbook and assign it as pupils' extracurricular reading materials. But pupils English reading ability cannot be easily improved without English teach-ers' long-term encouragement and effective guidance. Primary school is the the initiation stage of children's English learning, so English teachers should adopt various methods to cultivate chil-dren’s interest in story reading and habit of reading English sto-ries. This paper mainly interprets how to implement story reading teaching at school.%  英语故事阅读对丰富小学生的语言知识和提高语言素养有着积极的意义,同时也是非常适合小学生的一种学习渠道。但是由于各种原因,有些小学英语教师并没有进行教材当中的 story time 部分故事阅读教学,仅把它当做学生的课外阅读材料布置给学生自己看。小学生的英语阅读能力不是靠自己随便看看就能提高的,而要靠教师长期的鼓励和有效的指导。小学英语学习正是孩子们英语学习的启蒙阶段,英语教师要采取多种方式方法从基础阶段就开始培养小学生的故事阅读兴趣和阅读英文故事的习惯。文章从当前小学生故事阅读的现状、英文故事阅读的积极意义和在校内如何开展故事阅读活动进行论述。
